Yum Yum, BBQ Chicken

Category: Food & Recipes
My kids love KFC's bbq chicken, we are on a very tight fixed budget, and can't eat out when the kids want... my son who is 12yrs old, and my daughter who is 9yrs old.. has asked me to try something new.. i'm sure you will enjoy this.. after you fry chicken, and it's completely done.. poor about 4TBLS of Sweet and Tangy BBQ sauce in the bottom of a baking dish.. take your fried chicken, and put it in the dish, poor more BBQ sauce to your likings over it.. bake on 350 deg. for about 20 min. it's delicious.. i do the same thing with pork chops, and it taste wonderful.. any BBQ sauce you choose will work great.. ( on the chicken, after i put the bbq sauce on it, i sprinkle a little bit of light brown sugar.)

We make BBQ chicken fingers by dipping the raw chicken in bbq sauce (like one would do an egg wash) then coat them in bread crumbs (crushed up crackers or cereal would work). Bake, cool, eat and enjoy!

Another healthier alternative-instead of frying, take wings or legs and par-boil for 10-minutes, put in a baking dish and cover in sauce at 375. Make sure you have plenty of time, the longer the better to cook in the sauce. Add additional sauce at least once. Bake around 45 minutes, the wings and legs will not dry out or get too done.

So we fry it first and then slather it in empty calories? I can think of so many ways to make this healthier.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO   UNHEALTHY.  Bake the chicken or oven fry with cornflakes for a healthier version.

This sounds really good.  It sounds pretty much like KFC does their boneless wings and other BBQ offerings.  I'm trying this next week!  Thanks for the suggestion.
